Follow My Olympic Journey – USA Womens’ Rugby
I started competitive cheerleading at 10 years old. I made it to a very high level of tumbling and competed in the Cheerleading World Championships in Florida. While cheering I also competed for my middle school’s track team where I broke the school record for the 100 meter dash at Upper Merion. In middle school I also played basketball, field hockey, and wrestled. Once I got to high school I stuck to track but my love for it began to die. I qualified for the Penn Relays but my love for it was not the same.
My sophomore year in high school I started playing rugby.
I got MVP on my high school rugby team. I traveled to play in the Paris World Games by my second year and it was only up from there. I received a scholarship to Dartmouth College for rugby where I am majoring in Economics.
In 2020 I was invited to join the USA Women’s Rugby team and now I am training in San Diego for a spot on the 2021 Olympic Team.
I am grateful for this amazing opportunity and the many wonderful and enriching experiences Rugby has provided.
